The canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis
During the Jubilee of Teenagers, Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonized, a young boy of only 15 years who managed to combine traditional faith with a deep knowledge of technology. His life, though short, has become a role model for many young people thanks to his dedication to faith and his commitment to documenting Eucharistic miracles through the web.
About Carlo Acutis
Born on May 3, 1991, in London to Italian parents, Carlo Acutis moved with his family to Milan at a young age. Since he was a kid, Carlo showed an innate passion for technology and computing, skills he combined with profound religious devotion. He attended the Liceo Classico Carlo Porta, where he excelled in his studies and stood out for his humble and generous character.

Carlo was baptized with the name “Gaetano” in honor of his father, but he preferred to be called Carlo. From a young age, he actively participated in parish life, helping to organize events and supporting those in need. His faith was the center of his life: he prayed daily, attended Mass, and dedicated himself to the practice of the sacraments with great fervor.
The website of Eucharistic miracles
One of Carlo Acutis‘ most significant works was the creation of a website dedicated to Eucharistic miracles. Utilizing his computer skills, Carlo collected testimonies and images of miracles related to the Eucharist from around the world, aiming to make these stories of faith accessible even to the youngest. The website quickly became a valuable resource for the Church, facilitating the documentation and dissemination of Eucharistic miracles in a modern and accessible way.
His premature death
Carlo Acutis’ life was tragically cut short on October 12, 2006, when he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Despite his young age, Carlo faced the illness with extraordinary serenity and dignity. During his months of illness, he continued to pray and reflect on his faith, leaving an example of courage and hope for his peers.
His impact and canonization
Carlo Acutis’ figure has inspired millions of young people around the world. His ability to integrate faith and technology has demonstrated that it is possible to live an authentic Christian life even in the digital age. His canonization, announced by Pope Francis during one of his greetings to the faithful in St. Peter’s Square last April, represents a recognition of his commitment and his testimony of faith.
